About First Fridays Happy Hour
In recognition of Women's History Month, Wilkie D. is partnering with the Gwen S. Cherry Black Women Lawyers Association, the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, and related partners, for our next First Fridays Happy Hour at 6 p.m. on March 7th. First Fridays will be held at the St. Thomas University College of Law Breezeway, 16401 NW 37th Avenue, Miami Gardens. Pre-registration for the happy hour is required to ensure entry and parking.
The happy hour will cap off Day 1 of the Empowered Advocacy Symposium at the Benjamin L. Crump College of Law at St. Thomas. Registration for the symposium is not required.
Our additional co-hosts are the TJ Reddick Bar Association, the largest association of predominantly Black lawyers and judges in Broward County, and the Virgil Hawkins Florida Chapter of the National Bar Association.

From inception, the Wilkie D. Ferguson, Jr. Bar Association sought to remove the barriers to full inclusion into the legal community in Miami-Dade County. The Ferguson Bar continues this rich legacy by providing a voice for Black legal professionals in the communities it serves. Formerly known as the Black Lawyers of Miami, for over thirty years, the Ferguson Bar has served the Miami-Dade community by cultivating excellence and inclusion in the legal profession, promoting diversity in legal education through financial assistance and mentorship and advocating for equal access, equal opportunity and equal justice in the legal system.
